Maintained legacy web site using HTML, CSS, Visual Basic, MS SQL Server and Visual Developer IDE in a remotely hosted environment. Managed advanced technology development for a division of one of the world’s largest data processing centers specializing in Mutual Funds, Life Insurance Products and Health Systems. Managed technical support of all Argus computing platforms: system performance/availability, capacity planning, system recovery/restart, disaster recovery, database administration and operational preparedness.
- Designed and guided the acquisition and implementation of IBM RS/6000 SP client/server platform, a complex of fifty-one parallel UNIX processors and their associated peripheral equipment and software systems.
- Directed and managed implementation of new 3-tier application architecture that became the platform for implementation of an innovative rebate tracking system.
- Operated departments within approved $15 million budget while improving employee utilization rate, reducing staff turnover and increasing available skill sets.
- Conducted staff recruitment, development, and retention, while creating incentive plans and performance reviews.
- Oversaw a staff of 35 that included consultants, system managers, technical and administrative employees.
